Hi Ladies! Tell us a little bit about yourselves and your business!

My name is Sara Kluss, I’m married and have 2 boys. My husband and I moved to Austin in 2015 from San Antonio. I was born and raised in Corpus Christi. I love vintage fashion and and love reading/learning about costume history. I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, fellowship with my church family, traveling and watching Turner Classic Movies and true crime shows. Diana Boch is married with 5 children. She was born in Seoul, South Korea came to the US when she was 2 years old. She had a military lifestyle where she traveled a lot and learned a lot of different cultures. She is an artist and her artistic skill developed from drawing a lot. She has lived in Austin for 13 years. She enjoys drawing and walking and jogging on trails with her family and watching/listening to podcasts.

Fragile Eccentrics Clothing was born in 2023 from a desire to break the mold of traditional fashion and combine pop art with vintage inspired fashion. Created by Diana Boch and Sara Kluss, two moms of boys who saw a gap in the market for unique and stylish boys’ clothing, the brand quickly grew into something bigger. What started as a mission to bring variety to boys’ fashion soon evolved into a full-fledged creative movement—expanding to include girls’, women’s, and men’s fashion, along with accessories. Based in Austin, Texas, every piece of Fragile Eccentrics Clothing is thoughtfully designed and handcrafted in their studio. Made-to-order, custom, or in limited quantities, their collections celebrate individuality, craftsmanship, and slow fashion. Each design reflects a balance of boldness and wearability, allowing customers to express their personal style with confidence. Fragile Eccentrics Clothing isn’t just about apparel—it’s about embracing the beautifully unconventional. Whether it’s a one-of-a-kind custom piece or a small-batch collection, Diana and Sara continue to challenge the norms of fashion, proving that creativity and quality go hand in hand.

What are some of the biggest challenges you have faced since starting your business in 2023?

A few come to mind, one is do we want to outsource our manufacturing outside of our studio either domestic or internationally. We love the idea of made in America and were working towards that to keep on doing that because we find that many of our clients love that we do make everything in our studio. It’s a fluctuating conversation between us as business partners. Another challenge is strategically plan out vendor markets, fashion shows, etc. to where were doing an event and know were going to get our return on investment. We try our best to spend our money wisely however, sometimes it is a gamble to know for sure whether something will be worth our time and money.

Where do you see your business in the next 5 years?

We see ourselves continuing to scale, gain a solid number of new clients plus keep our repeat customers and also have wholesale accounts with multiple boutique retail stores across Texas and the US.

We are so excited for you both to pop up at Family Fun Fest in April! Where else can people find you?

We will be participating at the Home for the Holidays New Braunfels Show March 14-16. Also Imagine National Kids Expo June 6-8 and August 1-3 in New Braunfels.
