I am pleased to introduce Christi Wells to the South Austin Moms community. Christi is the definition of a mom boss who is raising kind humans and trying to change the narrative that moms should be doing it all! She believes that it takes a village to raise babies and is trying to bring that concept back by giving moms a helping hand wherever she can.
Hi Christi- thanks for sitting down to talk to us! Tell our readers a little bit about yourself-
I am Christi Wells. I married my husband 5 years ago in Salzburg, Austria and moved to Buda in 2019. I am a mom to a 2.5 year old little boy, Lucky, and our sweet 5 month old, Summer. I was born and raised in San Antonio and am very proud of my hometown and latina roots. I spent 7 years living in College Station, and we bleed maroon WHOOP! (much love to our clients who say Hook Em). I love diy projects, traveling, and trying new restaurants. I’m very much an extrovert, but do love my couch time in solitude with snacks and garbage tv.
A few Austin favs from Christi:
Restaurant: Red Ash or Justine’s are always so delish and the vibes are just right!
Coffee shop to get some work done: I just tried Vision ATX and loved it!
Favorite place to grab drinks: Zanibar is always so fun! the views off the rooftop are so iconically Austin. I love it!
Such a sweet family! Tell us a little more about your business-
I own All the Small Things TX. We are a home management company helping families and professionals reclaim their time. We are now even helping businesses too! We do it all, a shorter list would be what we don’t do! Laundry, macro organizing, tidying, and packing are our most popular requests. I started All the Small Things to help with just that, the small day to day things that contribute to our mental load. We have lost our villages and it’s my mission to help as many people as I can through service and employment. We meet our clients wherever they are in life and offer support that’s most impactful to them. For our teammates, I pay competitively and offer flexibility so they can pursue their passions and be present for those they love. We are unique in that we are driven by community and hearts for service. It’s seeing what moms, parents, and professionals use their new found free time that is the most rewarding to me. The mom who has more time to read another book with her toddler, the dad that can work out in his organized garage, the lawyer who can have a happy hour with friends because the chores are done…little acts create big impacts.
A favorite mom hack of yours is…
10 minute tidy. Set a timer for 10 minutes and tidy as much as you can in that time. Have your family join you! Make it a game! If your’e up to it, reset the 10 minute timer and keep going. If you only have 10 minutes to give, bless and release the rest. Which leads me to my next favorite mom hack.Give yourself grace. People’s houses get messy, if they don’t, they’re lyin’ Arguably the most powerful word and the most powerful thing we can do as moms.
A few more tips and mom hacks…
Barter! Outsourcing is not financially possible for every family. What skill do you have that you can barter? I know I would trade some tidying for a facial any day. Never undervalue yourself!
Where do you see your business in 5 years?
In all major Texas Cities, Colorado, Tennessee, and maybe California. I’ve got such big dreams and goals, and I can’t wait to see where and how we can grow!
What are some of your biggest challenges you are currently facing within your business?
Getting things rolling in San Antonio like it is in Austin. San Antonio is my hometown so I would love to give back to that community and give those families the gift of All the Small Things TX!
What is something that others may not know about you?
I launched All the Small Things TX in April 2022 and found out I was pregnant a month later (the day after Mother’s Day!) In 1 year I grew a business and a baby all while wrangling a 2 year old. In addition to running All the Small Things TX, I am Summer’s primary caregiver. Full time mom and CEO.
