Have y’all seen the new additions to Hat Creek’s milkshake menu? They recently added a nutella bacon milkshake as well as a cotton candy milkshake! Such a fun summer treat!
Sunday evening came too quickly this week. The groceries weren’t scheduled for pick up until after bedtime and I could NOT fathom cooking another meal that day. So, we loaded the kids up to go to Hat Creek to grab some dinner and let the kids run out their pre bedtime energy. However, when we got there, we realized they updating their milkshake menu and added a Nutella Bacon and a Cotton Candy milkshake so we just had to try.
First of all, round of applause for a restaurant that has affordable kids meals and a playground easily accessible for all ages. So thankful the kids had a place to run and play too! Sometimes a mama just had to feed her kids chicken nuggets and fries for dinner (or more like ketchup with a side of chicken nuggets and fries for my son) and reclaim some of her peace, ya know?
After dinner, my husband and I tried to sneak in a little treat while the kids played but we were quickly discovered and our milkshakes were stolen.
The nutella bacon milkshake was really good. It came with a full piece of bacon on top which my boys quickly snatched up. It was so wonderfully creamy and chocolatey and clearly a fan favorite of my crew. There goes my hopes and dreams of trying to tire my kids out before bedtime. But some summer nights are just worth staying up late, and slurping milkshakes together. Core memories were made!
When you hear Cotton Candy flavored anything, you start to become a little skeptical that it’s going to be too sweet. Trust me, I thought the same thing too but I was very happily mistaken! First, the milkshake is such a pretty bright blue with 2 pieces of pink cotton candy on top. But as you slowly sip, it is really delicious. My son clearly liked this one the best as did I!
We had such a great time at Hat Creek. Every location is a tad different in the style of playground they have outside but all have at least some parts that appeal to all ages. As far as food allergies and special diets go, there’s at least one menu item for everyone. I got a vegetarian burger bowl with a black bean patty and it was delish! They also offer breakfast for those who have kids who are up before the sun (meee!!)
